Filipino Mentalist Emmanuel Espiritu on GMA’s iJuander: Reading Minds and Predicting the News

Earlier this year, I had the incredible honor of being featured in GMA Network’s award-winning documentary program “iJuander,” hosted by Ms. Susan Enriquez and Empoy Marquez.

The episode focused on Filipinos with extraordinary talents — individuals who showcase remarkable mental strength, intuition, and determination in turning their unique abilities into sources of inspiration.

As a Filipino mentalist and mind reader, I was invited to perform a series of demonstrations of mind power and mentalism, designed to challenge perception and reveal the limitless potential of the human mind.

Highlights from My iJuander Feature

My Origin Story – I shared how my fascination with psychology and intuition led me to the world of mentalism, and how this journey shaped my craft as a modern Filipino mind reader.

Precognition Demonstration – I performed an experiment in predicting the news before it happened, showing how foresight and focus can create a sense of the impossible made real.

Street Mind Reading in Manila – I connected with random people on the streets of Manila, revealing their thoughts in real-time to demonstrate the power of human intuition and suggestion.

Mind Reading with Empoy Marquez – One of the most unforgettable moments was reading the mind of actor and host Empoy Marquez, leaving him stunned and speechless.

Teaching Empoy to Read Minds – In the final segment, I shared a glimpse of my methods and guided Empoy in reading another person’s thoughts himself — his genuine shock and amazement made it a powerful closing moment for the episode.

Beyond the demonstrations, this feature allowed me to share what mentalism truly represents — a reminder that the mind holds extraordinary potential. It’s not about magic tricks, but about understanding psychology, observation, and connection on a deeper level.

“IJuander” continues to highlight the extraordinary talents of Filipinos around the world, and being part of this episode was both humbling and fulfilling. Representing the art of mentalism on national television gave me the chance to inspire others to explore the hidden capabilities of the human mind.
